The ballot is open now. It closes 08 June 2021 at 23:59 UTC. You can access the ballot at:

OSLC Query Version 3.0 Project Specification 01 [1] was approved as a Project Specification on 01 October 2020. The OP has received 3 Statements of Use from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Koneksys, and IBM  [2]. Do you now approve submitting this Project Specification to the OASIS membership for consideration as a candidate for OASIS Standard?

Approving this ballot will result in a 60-day public review after which, if no comments are received, the PS will be submitted to a membership-wide call for consent. If comments are received, the OP will be asked to vote by Special Majority Ballot on whether to continue to the membership vote. This is explained in TC Process section 3.4.2, Public Review of a Candidate OASIS Standard [3].

This ballot requires a Special Majority Vote [4]. The PGB roster currently lists 3 voting members. In order to pass, at least 2 (2/3 x 3) have to vote Yes and none may vote No.

Chet Ensign

OASIS is pleased to announce that the call for consent has closed [1] and, effective 26 May 2021, OSLC Change Management Version 3.0 is an OASIS Standard. Project Administration will now undertake the final tasks of publishing the standard.

Change Management Version 3.0 was produced by the OASIS OSLC Open Project [2]. This is the first OASIS Standard delivered by the Open Projects program.

The ballot was held under the OASIS call for consent procedure [3]. In the ballot, the Candidate OASIS Standard received 7 affirmative consents and no objections.

Our congratulations to the members of the OSLC Open Project and to the community of implementers, developers and users who have brought the work successfully to this milestone.

Apologies for the confusion.

Ballot to approve OSLC Requirements Management Version 2.1 PS02 with Non-Material Changes as a candidate for OASIS Standard has been set up

Chet Ensign

The OASIS Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) Open Project Project Governing Board [1] has requested a Special Majority Vote to approve a working draft of OSLC Requirements Management Version 2.1 with non-material changes as Project Specification 02 and submitting this to the OASIS membership in the call for consent as OASIS Standard. This is being done under the rules of section 2.8.2 Public Review of a Committee Specification candidate for OASIS Standard (https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process-2017-05-26/#OSpublicRev)

Changes have been made to this Project Specification working draft to address comments received during its 60-day public review. The TC judges these changes to be non-material. The description of the changes can be inspected in Response-to-comments-on-OSLC-Requirements-Management-PS01.pdf (https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=68639&wg_abbrev=tca).

The ballot can be inspected at https://lists.oasis-open-projects.org/g/oslc-op-pgb/message/143. The ballot is open now and closes 28 May 2021 at 11:59 UTC.

Any Eligible Person concerned that the changes are Material is asked to bring their concern to OASIS Project Administration at project-admin@... so that the appropriate actions can be taken.

60-day public reviews for OSLC Requirements Management v2.1 and Change Management v3.0 have closed

Andrii Berezovskyi

Dear OSLC project members,

The 60-day public reviews for OSLC Requirements Management v2.1 and Change Management v3.0 announced on 09 March 2021 in https://lists.oasis-open-projects.org/g/oslc-op/message/483 has closed:

  1. Change Management v3.0 received no comments.
  2. Requirements Management v2.1 received comments that require non-material changes to the specification. The editors are preparing a revised Project Specification and comment log following the process outlined in https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process-2017-05-26/#OSpublicRev

Next steps:

  1. We asked Chet to proceed with the call for consent to publish Change Management v3.0 as an OASIS Standard.
  2. I will prepare a new PS revision Requirements Management v2.1 soon so that it can be put forward for a PGB vote and published. We will be able to request a call for consent directly afterwards because SoUs do not need to be gathered again for a revision that only has non-material changes.
  3. We are waiting on the 3rd SoU for Core PS 02 and Query PS 01. We hope that IBM will be able to provide them.
  4. TRS is nearing the stage where it can be published as a TRS 3.0 PSD 01.

I am very excited about the progress reached so far and would like to thank everyone in the OP as well as in OASIS for working hard to make this happen!

Best regards,

Andrew on behalf of the PGB

P.S. Special thanks to Chet for the email template (:

OSLC Core v3.0 Project Specification 02 approved by the OSLC Open Project

Paul Knight

OASIS is pleased to announce that OSLC Core Version 3.0 from the Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration Open Project [1] has been approved as an OASIS Project Specification.

Managing change and configuration in a complex systems development lifecycle is very difficult, especially in heterogeneous environments that include homegrown tools, open source projects, and commercial tools from different vendors. The OSLC initiative applies World Wide Web and Linked Data principles to enable interoperation of change, configuration, and asset management processes across a product's entire application and product lifecycle.

OSLC Core defines the overall approach to Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration based specifications and capabilities that extend and complement the W3C Linked Data Platform.

This Project Specification is an OASIS deliverable, completed and approved by the OP's Project Governing Board and fully ready for testing and implementation. The applicable open source licenses can be found in the project's administrative repository at https://github.com/oslc-op/oslc-admin/blob/master/LICENSE.md.

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you Paul for spotting the issue. The spec is fixed via https://github.com/oslc-op/oslc-specs/pull/508/commits/e1f256914f86d5581ee0bf5901facde5705b51d3 and ZIP of the regenerated Part 6 is attached.

Professor Ryman, thank you so much for your prompt reply and for spending your valuable time to look through your archives for a copy of the paper. I am sad we could not find any and had to remove the reference. Let me use this as opportunity to express my gratitude for your work on OSLC, and Shapes in particular (and SHACL as well)!

Chet, thank you for green-lighting the change without another round of voting. I will CC the OSLC PGB for the record.

Best regards,

Andrew
