OCA Project Governing Board - Action Items & Updates
Jason Keirstead
Hello fellow sponsors of the Open Cybersecurity Alliance. There are a number of brewing items that I wanted to reach out to the community on for reminders & updates.
*Reminder - Agenda of upcoming PGB meeting - November 22 at 11:00 EST*
As a general reminder, this second meeting of the PGB is scheduled at the above time. The agenda is still in flux but here are some topics we will definitely discuss:
- Agreement on appointment of initial TSC members (see below action item on this as well)
- Discussion & agreement on the OCA governance document, which will be brought to the PGB - Discussion on building momentum of STIX Shifter & DXL Ontology Projects
- RSA 2020 - anything we want to discuss or plan here as a group
- Any other agenda items as brought forward from PGB members prior to the meeting *Reminder - Soft cutoff date for TSC nominations, next Friday*
As a second reminder, Darren & I are requesting that prospective TSC nominations be submitted either via Slack or via Email by next Friday. This is so we can prepare for the above meeting. We are shooting for a TSC size of 6-8 individuals. *ACTION: Selection of PGB Representative & Digital Signing of OASIS ECLA* Below are a list of current OCA sponsor contacts who as of current records, have not yet digitally signed the ECLA. Signing the ECLA (https://www.oasis-open.org/resources/projects/cla/projects-entity-cla) is a mandatory step, and what legally allows your entity to participate in key decisions in the OCA. Without signing it, your participation will be limited. Please endeavor to sign the ECLA before the upcoming PGB meeting, or appoint an alternative member of your organization who can do so, to avoid not being able participate in some of the actions. If you have any questions on the ECLA, or you feel this has been reported in error - please reach out to Chet Ensign (CCed on this email) * Craig “CJ” Brunet (Advanced Cyber Security Corp) - cjb@... * Yotam Ezra (SafeBreach) - yotam.benezra@... * Reuven Harrison (Tufin) - reuven.harrison@... * Marko Dragoljevic (EclecticIQ) - marko@... * Kelly Brazi (Fortinet) - kbrazil@... * Ben Sooter (EPRI) - bsooter@... * Sam Curry (Cybereason) - sam.curry@... * Spencer Parker (CrowdStrike) - Spencer.Parker@... * David Whelbourn (CyberNB) - David.Whelbourn@... Chet Ensign
Hi Jason, Have you heard back from any of the people who have not yet signed the ECLA. We would like to learn anything that we can that will help us figure out how to make this all work. Thanks. I'm thinking people might share concerns with you that they would not share with us. Best, /chet On Thu, Nov 7, 2019 at 10:11 AM Jason Keirstead <Jason.Keirstead@...> wrote:
