I understand that the group will be discussing plans for RSA 2020 during the next meeting. In advance of that meeting I thought it would be good to send along a couple ideas for consideration.

  • OCA Session (promotion & recruitment) — Jason and Darren submitted a proposal for consideration. I understand they haven't received an update yet, but if accepted we could arrange to have a QR code or promo card available onsite to highlight the session details. This information could be used by OCA Sponsors attending the event in an effort to help recruit folks to the session. Since we will have OASIS staff in attendance, we could also make a staff person available during the session to help answer questions, etc.

  • Visibility for OCA Sponsors — Several items the group may consider having available onsite include: 1.) Small 'OCA Sponsor' booth signs (typically 8.5" x5" in size), 2.) OCA laptop stickers and 3.) OCA badge ribbons or buttons (maybe with 'ask me about OCA').

  • Organize an OCA-Related Meeting — Several OCA Sponsors are located in the area. Maybe one could offer space for the group to hold a meeting?

  • Meet-up or Happy Hour —The group might consider organizing a Happy Hour or Meet-up during RSA. This could happen within an OCA Sponsor's booth on the showfloor or maybe off sight.

  • OCA at RSA 2021 — It's not too soon to start discussing plans for 2021. OASIS will select our 2021 booth during the RSA 2020 show. If the group would like to consider having an OCA Showcase (a booth hosting demo pods for participating OCA Sponsors) or smaller booth presence, we would need to know by 3 February.

We also have an opportunity to submit content for the RSA blog in 2020. Attached is their editorial calendar and submission requirements. Please review and let me know if any monthly topics are of interest to the group.

And finally, I wanted to make everyone aware that since OASIS is a non-profit sponsor of RSA, our members are entitled to receive an extra $150 off the conference fee. Use the code 10UOASISFD to receive that discount. If you're only interested in attending the exhibits, OASIS has complimentary show-only passes available. Use the code XEOUOASIS when registering to attend. FYI: The OASIS KMIP Technical Committee is hosting a multi-vendor Interop demo on the showfloor in booth #1249. Please stop by.

Thanks so much, Jane
