New OCA website
Dear PGB members, Yesterday, we finally made the switch to the new Wordpress-based website for the Open Cybersecurity Alliance: https://opencybersecurityalliance.org/ Thank you very much for all of you who helped to create a content outline and gave feedback, in particular: Russ Warren, Franco De Bonis, Paige Montgomery and Anshul Garg, as well as Dee Schur. There might be still be a few things we need to sort out, or improvements to be implemented. So, if you notice anything, please send me an email or add a comment on slack in #new-website-feedback. Kind regards, Claudia --

Thanks to all the people who put time into this. Looks great.
Dumb governance questions:
Note I like the website and it’s really snazzy but I do think we should walk our own talk and OCA is an OASIS-Open Project (ie quoting our new website “An open source project, OCA operates under the OASIS Open governance process, which ensures transparency, inclusiveness, and safety, …”). There will be a lot of nits&lice issues (eg in the first hour we’ve had: capitalize PACE, redo PACE sentence, put link to the “OASIS Open governance process”, ..) so I think we should get governance straight.

Hi Duncan, hi all, These are great questions and worth discussing with the PGB and with the Marketing team. A few spontaneous thoughts: I am not aware of any written policy regarding content creation and
website content maintenance for OCA, but it seems to be driven by the
OCA marketing working group with Dee's support for event announcement and press releases, as well as general OCA advocacy content. Other articles, like the series on Kestrel, were contributed by other community members. You are addressing three issues here: 1. a content policy, eg. what gets published and who decides what gets published 2. access and maintenance, eg. who is doing the work 3. tracking of issues From my perspective, documenting how to submit content, and how editorial decisions are made would be beneficial for transparency and community engagement. But I would encourage to keep this lightweight and enable contributions. Meetings of the marketing team are open to anyone who wants to contribute and are advertised on the new website in the "Get involved" section. It would be helpful to have a small team of people from the community (website maintainers) who can review and publish content. Issue can be tracked on GitHub. I've archived the repo for the previous website, but we can easily open a new for the new website and add issues there. Claudia On Tue, Jun 7, 2022 at 5:28 PM duncan@sfractal <duncan@...> wrote:
